Poem: Better Off Me

Poem created in response to Robert Lee Brewer’s Wednesday Poetry Prompt #125, 2 Mar 2011.

Better Off Me

Theodor Geisel,
known more famously
as Dr. Seuss, wrote
a wondrous story
of a boy who dreams
how it would be
to be other, more-
different than he.
In the end, though,
he is able to see,
he’s happiest him-
I’m better off me.
**I will have to revisit this one to clean it up a bit
