Poem: Redemption

Poem created in response to Robert Lee Brewer’s Wednesday Poetry Prompt #126, 9 Mar 2011.

Redemption

Distraught, waning soul
pleads for her redeeming light,
“Turn around, bright eyes”

**While the Wednesday Poetry Prompt was the impetus for this poem, the subject and final line came from Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart” which popped into my head as soon as I read the poetry prompt was a ‘turn around’ poem.
