Poem: Empty Vows

Poem created in response to Robert Lee Brewer’s Wednesday Poetry Prompt #141, 20 July 2011.  Topic/subject:  an empty poem.

(form:  lune)

Empty Vows

space between their beds
is dwarfed by
space between their hearts

(form:  shadorma)

Empty Vows

nowadays,
“til death us do part”
no longer
refers to
eternal love, but rather
until the lust dies
