Poem: Rock You Like a Hurricane

Poem created in response to Robert Lee Brewer’s Wednesday Poetry Prompt 160, 4 January 2012.  Topic: an unstoppable poem

(form: fibonacci)

Rock You Like a Hurricane

It
builds
slowly,
a few drops
followed by more drops
that increase in size and tempo
while the wind starts blowing, harder and harder. Howling,
it whips and rips at trees, tears roofs,
while streets and homes flood.
Then it’s gone.
Nope…just
the
eye.
