Poem: Yet dwells the fear…

Poem created in response to Robert Lee Brewer’s 2012 November PAD Chapbook Challenge: Day 3, 3 Nov 2012.
Topic: A scary poem
Topic suggested by:  Joshua Gray

(form: Fibonacci)

Yet dwells the fear…
I’m
not
afraid
of living
alone and I know
that someday one of us will go
before the other, but when that test revealed a mass
it chilled me to the bone.  And though
we are safe this time,
in my core
yet dwells
the
fear.

Rob, I am beyond words. The poem exquisitely crafted. The content rocked my core.

Rob, I relate so well to this one. Life feels fragile, so temporary sometimes. Well done. And using the Fib form to say “I’m not afraid of living alone” is just perfect.
