The Sad Truth About Truth

claims to want to know
the whole truth

they only want to be told
what they want to hear

I love this. It’s SO (sadly) true.

We’ve become a society (world, maybe) that is so afraid of hurting others feelings that we are now afraid to speak the truth and have come to accept that we won’t have to hear “No” or any disparaging word that we don’t know how to react when the truth is spoken plainly to us. We don’t even recognize it.
