Teaser Tuesday post for 1 March 2016

My first day at work: there's a whole fleet of Thorn's shops, triremes, longboats, galleons, all of them with gargoyle prows and black sails and ghoulish crews, but I'm riding in the flagship of them all, sitting at the right hand of Mr. Death himself, with a three-headed dog yapping at my heels and Cornelius Huang making his conch sing somber music. I'm standing right by the prow with the marble in my hand and I guess I'm kind of piloting, even though this path is so well worn that the fleet meets no resistance from the reality stream.

Interesting! Definitely first person narration, isn’t it? My teaser this week comes from Dragon’s Fire by Anne McCaffrey and Todd McCaffrey. I’m trying to finish this series by reading the books I missed when they were new. Happy reading!
It’s actually first person from a handful of characters. A bit disjointed for my taste, but I’m soldiering on through it.
