Poem: The Scent of Jasmine

Poem created in response to Poetic Bloomings’ “An Entertaining Summer” Poem-A-Day event

Day 1, July 1st

Prompt: Summer Breeze

The Scent of Jasmine

Whipping through my hair,
the warm breeze turns cooler
as I chase the sun
into its star-lit bed.

Weary from driving,
a mission bell rings out
as I’m welcomed to
a desert oasis.

Thank God I smell jasmine!
