Poems: When summer showers interrupt & The Picnic

Poem created in response to Poetic Bloomings’ “An Entertaining Summer” Poem-A-Day event

Day 19, July 19th

Prompt: Summer Picnic

(form: lune)

When summer showers interrupt…

When summer showers
Interrupt
Just dance in the rain

(form: shadorma)

The Picnic
Deep gazes
Eyes mirror blue skies
Bare shoulder
Light laughter
Lighter touch…Now I’m sweating
So…I drink her in.
