Teaser Tuesday: The Force of Destiny

Teaser Tuesday post for 21 February 2017
from The Force of Destiny by Michael A. Gabriel

"This was not a contest, but we all thought that the American band was the best and we want to present you with the city flag of Monchen-Gladbach."  The following week in the Stars and Stripes, the newspaper of the armed forces, the headline read:  "Gabriel captures Monchen-Gladbach in war and with music!"

Teaser Tuesday logoTeaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by The Purple Booker. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:• Grab your current read • Open to a random page • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!) • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Good teaser. Sounds like it sets a good tone for what’s to follow in the book. My Teaser

He’s quite the legend in the bandleader/conductor arena. At one point the Air Force Band was considered the best in the world and he’s credited with that accomplishment. Was/is still guest conducting into his 90s. Turns out, he was also a war hero during WWII.
