Poem: Lather, Rinse, Repeat

Poem created in response to Poetic Bloomings’ “An Entertaining Summer” Poem-A-Day event

Day 15, July 15th

Prompt: Summer Dawn

(form: shadorma)

Lather, Rinse, Repeat
Summer morn
The sun rises bright
Temp climbs up
Sweltering
Nightly storm soaks, booms, and cools
Resets overnight

Dawn always makes me think of Apollo, which is the title of a poem I wrote a few years ago for a different PAD:  https://pubwrite.wordpress.com/2012/11/09/poem-apollo/

Poem: Sunrise

Poem created in response to Robert Lee Brewer’s 2012 April PAD Challenge: Day 23, 23 Apr 2012, topic:  morning

(form: shadorma)

Sunrise

 The rain pours
steadily down. Clouds
darken the
morning sky.
Roused from sleep, I watch you wake.
You are my sunshine.
