Poem: Solace in the Dark

Poem created in response to Robert Lee Brewer’s 2012 April PAD Challenge: Day 6, 6 Apr 2012, topic:  hiding/hidden

(form: triolet)

Solace in the Dark

When I can look no longer in your eyes,
I’ll find solace in the dark
where I’ll hide away from all my lies.
When I can look no longer in your eyes,
when mirrored in them is what you despise,
I’ll hide away, forever cold and stark.
When I can look no longer in your eyes,
I’ll find solace in the dark.
